In 2022, she undertook an internship with our team (Research team of Integrative and Applied Ecology at the Institute of Nature Conservation of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow). During this internship, she managed biological sample databases, prepared samples for research, and documented results of histological staining and immunohistochemical analyses, among other responsibilities.\u00a0Currently, Joanna is deeply engaged in laboratory work related to the collaborative project between IOP PAN and the Tatra National Park, focusing on the impact of the anthropause on the fauna of the Tatra National Park. She will be pursuing her doctoral thesis under the guidance of Dr. Agnieszka Sergiel.\u00a0She absolutely thrives in the laboratory while sporting a crisp white coat, but she’s also not hesitant to tackle any “mucky” tasks out in the field!
