Thanks to Dr. Maja Lazarus from the Division of Occupational and Environmental Health (IMI), she had the chance to gain insights into the work of a laboratory focused on ecotoxicology research, including biomonitoring of exposure and effects of heavy metals in terrestrial wildlife. During her visit, she was actively involved in preparing samples, such as bones and liver tissues, for heavy metal content analysis. She also received invaluable guidance, which she plans to utilize in her upcoming publications. Additionally, she had an inspiring discussion with Dr Suzana \u017dunec regarding biomarkers of oxidative stress in studies on the effects of heavy metals on animal tissues, and she also participated in an institute seminar.
