Robert W. Mys\u0142ajek covers our <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.plos.org\/plosone\/article?id=10.1371\/journal.pone.0090740\" target=\"_blank\">article <\/a>in PloS ONE about the indirect and unexpected effects of ungulate feeding. This game management practice affects many species, not only the ones that are intended to be fed.\u00a0 It can be particularly dangerous for birds which breed on the ground, like grouse. In the area around feeding sites, nest predation was much higher (30%).
