Summer School Series: Observation, Modelling and Acting for Sustainable Land-Use in the Context of Climate Change and Biodiversity, organised within the framework of the international projects Europe-LAND and SUNRISE with the support of the Baltic University Programme (BUP). It was an intensive and interdisciplinary event. During numerous lectures, workshops, and teamwork in the Living Lab project, Joanna expanded her knowledge and skills in advanced spatial and spatio-temporal analyses, as well as the planning and implementation of participatory research. The experience and skills that she gained will be invaluable and put to excellent use in her further doctoral research on environmental stressors, pollutants, and their impact on brown bear populations. This trip was also an opportunity to visit Lahemaa National Park (Estonia), where you can encounter brown bear individuals from the Baltic population. This event resulted in new relationships within the international academic environment and served as a great opportunity to popularise research on brown bears.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The European Union funded this summer school.
