The article authored by Carlos Bautista with a team of 23 European brown bear researchers \u201cPatterns and correlates of claims for brown bear damage on a continental scale\u201d, published in the Journal of Applied Ecology (<\/span><a style=\"text-align: justify;\" href=\"http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1111\/1365-2664.12708\/full\">http:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1111\/1365-2664.12708\/full<\/a><span style=\"text-align: justify;\">), is the first study that tries to disentangle these questions on a continental scale by comparing different management units. Authors analyzed 18,300 compensated claims for damage caused by brown bears across 18 European regions with different socio-ecological conditions.
