AnthroBear project workshop “Anthropogenic pressure on wildlife and its population-level consequences”

On 24th of November 2023 the AnthroBear project team members hosted the workshop on the impacts of escalating anthropogenic activities on wildlife populations. The workshop brought together 19 scientists and students from different institutions to discuss the approaches to studying anthropogenic pressure effects on wildlife, physiological responses to it, and its effects on population health.

Two keynote speakers (dr hab. Roman Gula from Museum and Institute of Zoology PAS and dr Ghulam Nabi from Institute of Nature Conservation PAS) presented a wide spectrum of possible scenarios and study settings and shared their results. The talks touched upon many important issues in research on wolves through brown bear to cetaceans and birds.
