A bulk of molecular and serological analyses of tick-borne pathogens in bear samples was conducted in September and October 2019. The detection techniques were aiming at the following pathogens: Borrelia burgdorferi, Coxiella burnetii, Anaplasma spp., Toxoplasma spp., Babesia microti and other species of Babesia, Rickettsia helvetica (and other species of Rickettsia), and Bartonella spp.
