We welcome Ainhoa Graciarena Oyanguren, who will be with us for an 8-month internship in the Institute of Nature Conservation (IOP PAN). Ainhoa is here with the fellowship Connecting Talent – Biodiversity 2023 granted by the Basque Government in Spain. She has just graduated and is ready to implement what she has learned through the bachelor’s and to learn many new things with us.
During her internship, Ainhoa will help in many different tasks. She will help us in the field with our long-term studies assessing bilberry germination and survival from animal faeces in Tatra National Park and estimating beechnut production in Bieszczady Mountains. Also, she will assist in the ecophysiology lab doing preparation of samples for cortisol extraction. Furthermore, she will help processing data that will serve to perform spatial temporal analyses of brown bear damage occurrence.
From the muddy mountain shoes to the disinfected white coat for the lab, what a versatile intern we have! We hope she will enjoy all this work and learn a lot from them. And, who knows? May be end up working with us in any of these of this topics 😊
