Water is a precious resource for animals, especially during hot weather. Brown bears are especially sensitive to heat and often rest during the warmest hours. They also love to take baths. Beaver lakes seem to be an attractive swimming pool. We recorded such bathing trips to beaver lakes during field inspections of the GPS-locations of our collared bears. Now, a nice video has been posted at the “Dzien Dobry Bieszczady” facebook page. A unique and interesting documentation is offered by the series “Ukryte Oko”, based on the material from fauna monitoring with phototrapping in the Bieszczady National Park. The chapter II of the series shows how different bears use a forest pond. Enjoy it!
